In one of the most surprising developments in sports in 2022, Barty retired in March at age 25, on top of the women’s rankings and on top of her sun-drenched part of the world after becoming the first Australian in 44 years to win the Australian Open singles title. Pickleball banned after clash with parents at a NYC park. parks officials have now banned pickleball from Seravalli after repeated clashes between players and other parkgoers, especially parents with young children who’d come to Seravalli for years to ride bikes, inline skate and toss a baseball. The battle at Seravalli is but one example of pickleballers stepping on toes as more people decide to play and seek an ever-increasing number of courts on which to do so. Holland America Line Named Exclusive Cruise Line Partner of the PPA.

Holland America Line has been exclusively named the Official Cruise Line of the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) and is committed to expanding its pickleball experience at sea for guests. All ships in the Holland America Line fleet feature pickleball courts with amazing top-deck views that will be refreshed by February 2023, including adding new PPA Tour partner logos. Beginning in February and rolling out fleet-wide by April 2023, complimentary beginner lessons will be offered by shipboard instructors who will teach guests the rules and basics of playing pickleball.
