In 2024, this side conducted a year-long project exploring the application of design-oriented thinking to enhance the tennis experience. This effort drew significant inspiration from Designing Your Life: How to Build a Well-Lived, Joyful Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, a career development book everyone should read. This project encompassed monthly blog posts addressing various aspects of tennis life, including performance, motivation, and community engagement. Key themes included embracing imperfection, conducting small, incremental experiments, and using reflective tools like a “tennis happiness journal” to identify areas of joy and dissatisfaction.

The series encouraged readers to explore their unique tennis journeys by aligning their engagement with personal values and aspirations. Posts covered topics such as navigating performance plateaus, fostering resilience through adversity, and leveraging teamwork and coaching for growth. The project also examined broader themes, like hacking systems within tennis organizations and creating new community opportunities.
